I am certified with the Moksana Yoga Centre. This certificate is a
professional badge, but my actual style comes from my own lifestyle. I support
the Fireweed Market, I participate in youth projects and I enjoy out of town
visits as a teacher. I am studying early childhood development and I am an
independent dancer.
I offer classes that encourage and stimulate self-awareness and
self-compassion. I customize my classes for each student’s needs to explore
their potential. I use traditional literature, journalling, Gentle Yoga,
Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga principles, knowledge in anatomy, nutritional advice
from years of self-teaching and the freedom to have fun in an atmosphere of
sound, smell and natural light.
I don't have a polished marketing strategy, but I polish my life daily. I
encourage aphorisms such as "you get what you want by not wanting what you
don't need". I am vocal about the attitude towards Yoga that has limited
people to be self-reflective. Focusing on health can be narrowing when you can't
focus on honesty, feelings, trust and goals.
I have taught at the Northland Yoga Studio, but this Fall and Winter I will
only be available for private classes as I am working and attending school
full-time, and dancing part-time.
I charge $20 an hour.
