Online Professional Curriculum on Herbs and Dietary Supplements

Classes Offered

There are 7 1-hour credit classes in two tracks; you may select to participate in any combination of these classes.

Track 1 focuses on the clinician's knowledge and confidence about HDS while Track 2 is designed to enhance the clinician's ability to discuss HDS safety and effectiveness with patients.

After paying the initial enrollment fee, you can register for any class in the Online Professional Curriculum on Herbs and Dietary Supplements offered by Northwest AHEC between now and September, 2007!

Track 1 - Knowledge-oriented classes

The purpose of these classes is to improve clinicians' knowledge and confidence about HDS.

Ø 14309 - An Introduction to the Basics of Herbs and Dietary Supplements

Ø 14306 - Herbs and Dietary Supplements for an Aging Population

Ø 14264 - From Infant to Teen: Introduction to Pediatric Herbs and Dietary Supplements

Ø 14305 - Introduction to Safety and Risks of Herbs and Dietary Supplements

Ø 14263 - Herbs and Supplements for Today's Woman

Ø 15009 - Herbs and Dietary Supplements as Complementary Therapies for Depression *NEW

Ø 15986 - Herbs and Dietary Supplements as Adjunctive Therapies for Gastroenterological Disorders *NEW

Track 2 - Behavior-oriented & Talking with Your Patients classes

The purpose of these classes is to enhance clinicians' ability to ask patients, record information in the medical record, advise patients about safety and effectiveness and report adverse effects appropriately.

Ø 14307 - Talking with Your Aging Patients about Herbs & Dietary Supplements

Ø 14265 - From Infant to Teen: Talking with your Pediatrics Patients' Parents about Herbs and Dietary Supplements

Ø 14304 - Talking with Your Patients about Safety Issues with Herbs and Dietary Supplements

Ø 14255 - Talking with Your Female Patients about Herbs and Dietary Supplements

Ø 14994 - Depression: Talking with Your Patients about Herbs and Dietary Supplements as Adjunctive Therapies *NEW

Ø 15989 - Talking with Your Patients about Herbs and Dietary Supplements as Adjunctive Therapies for Gastroenterological Disorders *NEW

It's easy to register for this online educational curriculum!
